This is a excerpt from an interview with Stoner Rock.com and Pepper Keenan of Coc. Not one of my favorite bands, I do support their outlook on the death of mainstream music. COC is currently on tour with Disturbed, this is what they have to say about the tour.....

StonerRock.com: How's it been going on [the DISTURBED] tour?

Pepper: "It's fucking ridiculous. It's nothing… it's the dumbest thing we've ever done in our lives."

StonerRock.com: So you put "Albatross" back into the set — last time you played "Fuel" instead.

Pepper: "We're going to switch it around even more, but we just don't feel like it with the stupid crowd [at the DISTURBED shows]."

StonerRock.com: Those kids actually reacting well to your stuff?

Pepper: "I mean, it's over their head. The average DISTURBED fan is just a shopping mall… they're not music fanatics by any stretch of the musicians. I can't say that about everybody, but from what I've seen, they're just… Hot Topic kind of whatever. It's kind of a drag, because the standards of music get lowered by things like that. It ain't my place to say anything, but we consider ourselves to playing music of some degree. Off the cuff. We fall on our ass sometimes going on some of those jams and shit, but at least we're doing something. We're evolving somehow. If you ain't evolving, you ain't doing shit, in my opinion."

Good Evening my Bloodthirsty Flesh Munching, Brain Eating, Blood drinking Demons.....

So where the hell have I been? Well unfornatley i wasn't abducted by little green men, and I wasn't taken away by the government for re-education, and as far as I'm aware the world didn't end yet. Damn, and I was so looking forward to a nice long vacation on another planet, a gov. resort or you know watching the big mushroom clouds cover the earth.

Anywho, Great show coming up this friday night. Soulfly, Throwdown, Blood Simple, and Kick Face at Croc Rock's in allentown, pa. Never was a huge Soulfly fan, I really don't know anything by them, just think it will be a great headbanger show. Throwdown has come along way, they're newest album is straight up old fashioned hardcore and BloodSimple is an amazing live band. Kick Face never heard, but any band with Kick and Face in the title can't be that bad!!!!

So help me out here. Being a bassist with short hair and the new band wears masks and face paint, i'm now told that the "sexy" look for bassists is the 80's redneck mowhawk style, one tat on the arm and a Calvin Klien t-shirt???? Should that even be legal for rock and roll players??? I think the world is slowly coming to a close...........

Oh and to anyone who thinks I'm miserable and I shouldn't speak what's on my mind if I don't have anything nice to say????? Well kiss my ass this ain't bambi. I'm an asshole and I approve this message, thank you!

Hello my naughty little donkeys

So where have I been? Well I can give a special thanks to all those computer hackers and pimple-faced little geeks that sit at home all day and night and come up with programs like spyware, malware, hi-jacks and anything else circulating out there. And I would love to meet you little bastards, take you out in your little under-roo'sin the middle of a very cold night in Alaska, and beat the shit out of you with a big lead pipe. It's funny, but it seems escpially with the beautiful and wonderful operating system created by the world's biggest crook on the face of the earth, Mr. Bill Gates, not one Anti-virus, spyware or other system utlities program will stop everything. This one gets this virus, but not this virus, and vice versa. I remember the days I could get online, check my email, chat with friends, surf the web. BUT NOOOOOO......These days my email crashes, my browser won't surf, I get toolbars installing all over the place. And our lovely government, yeah they'll hunt down and arrest every music downloader or movie downloader they can find. But it seems like they almost never find these hackers. It's pretty sad, cuz we know the Feds have satellite's watching every move we make, let alone what I'm typing right now. But they can't seem to get those people who like to destroy everyone else's property. I guess if I gave one of the major political parties in this country a huge donation and provided some female escorts to one of their artsy fartsy parties, I could get something done. So to all those little hackers out there, keep jerking off to your pictures of seven of 9 from star trek, and do the world the favor, go play in traffic. Millions will thank you.....

Another thing, everyone I'm sure has heard about this "Bird Flu." The horrible bird flu has been warned to us by our god-fearing and 4th grade education level of our president George W. Bush and among a few other world leaders and UN officials. Funny how this thing just pops up on the map and everyone is freaked out. Isn't also funny how everyone seems to have a sniffle and a cough or knows someone who does. Ever since the middle of august people have been acting like they had little head colds. Did our gov. put something into the air to affect the people. Because as quoted by the  federal officials, they said they could use Martial law and other Military personnal to take control if this Bird Flu spreads. Remember foot and mouth, mad cow disease. Funny how they scared everyone, and suddenly it just disappeared. Scare tactics are the best way for a Gov. to get things down.

So music news, got alot of great shows coming up in the next month or so. Soulfly will be appearing at Croc Rocks in allentown, pa on the 28th of october alongside Throwdown, Bloodsimple and Kick Face. Jackyl will be popping up there on the 11th of November. On the 19th of november Hatebreed, most Prescious blood, Gizmachi and Full Blown chaos arrive at the Staircase (suitcase for all the locals) in Pittston, Pa. HIM, Skindred, and Finch are pulling into Philly on the 26th and 27th of November. What a dumb day before and of for a show, thanksgiving. When everyone is fleeing the cd or coming for relatives, it's nutso on the traffic. Plus i'm not sure how to take this HIM show. HIM went from being a great goth metal band to turning into a bunch of sell outs and then of course Ville Vallo went from being a lead singer to being a Heart Throb for all the young goth girls. What a joke! That's why you should follow bands like Crowbar, Chimaira, and Fear Factory. Ugly hairy mother fuckers that aren't there to look cute, they hit that stage for one reason to jam out and have fun and host very large bloodthirsty pits.
